Atypical Virtual Associates

I know some of you are die-hard suit wearing chicas when you go on your client meetings. I’m much more business casual. I go to networking meetings and client meetings in nice jeans, a nice silk t-shirt (or a cotton t-shirt that looks sleek and nice) and have no problem closing the deal, because when you own your style, no matter what that style is…you will exude confidence. That’s what the client wants to see.

Although, can you imagine if we all still lived in a world where a fashion Icon like Audrey Hepburn still called the shots as to what was proper to wear? Could we all wander down to networking meetings dressed with such casual elegance and feel confident about ourselves? Even when Audrey was working on My Fair Lady and rocking this ensemble of head scarf, cotton shirt and casual cotton pants, she looks stylish and sure of herself.

There is a Dockers contest going on right now, you could make oodles of money creating a TV commercial featuring a Dockers take on Ms. Hepburn’s classic style.
