Atypical Virtual Associates

I was trying to determine if the title for the post should be

• What do people who work from home wear to work?
• What should people who work from home wear to work?

Subtle difference, only one word, but it becomes a little too judgey if I put should, like I’m an expert on what to wear to work. Of course, there is a big difference between what I do wear to work and what I’d like to wear to work.

In the land where I have no children and my house doesn’t have Legos on the floor I’d wear a baby doll or corsets to work everyday in my office. With a pair of those maribou pumps with the kitten heels and there would be a long, thin cigarette with a cigarette holder involved too. Probably.

I want to look adorable every day is where I’m going with this LOL

But honestly, between taking care of the dogs and the kids in the morning and making sure the spouse leaves for work on time…I have certain outfits that are my work outfits.

First, I think I have the largest collection of matching, adorable pajamas on the face of the earth. A little clingy, very cute, and wearing them makes me feel smart and fun and casual, which is great for my state of mind.

I also have dark jeans that are fitted but super-comfy and I wear those with a really nice fitted Tshirt when I need a boost or am having a client meeting over the phone.

Your clothes can do a lot for your mental state. Don’t forget that, and know that you look great no matter what you wear!
