Super Exciting!
I have a backup drive.
Thank goodness for that – because my computer died two nights ago. Something ate up every last bit of memory and then just kept restarting my computer. Over and over.
It was terribly sad.
I backup once a week, but there’s one thing they don’t tell you about a complete reformat.
It takes TWO DAYS to put everything back to basic working order. It will be about a week from the beginning of this debacle before I’m back to great.
But that’s okay. It happens. It also alerted me to the fact that I think I may need a new computer…which brings me to the heart of this entry.
PC? or Mac?
Much of what I’ve been doing lately is design work, and I really enjoy it. If I’m going to continue, wouldn’t it make sense to do it on a Mac? I hear they’re the be all end all for design work. Of course, I’ve never actually known anyone (that’s not online) that has a Mac so I can’t go down the street and check out my buddies’ Mac.
Everyone I know and everyone I work with has a PC. So wouldn’t it be better to work with something that’s compatible with everyone?
Not sure what I’m going to do about this, but for now, I’m going to work with my “brand new again” computer – it’s working just fine and faster than ever now!

For what it’s worth, I have a mac and a program that allows me to run windows on it… so that i can run anything that’s not mac compatible… and i’ve never had any problems swapping files with a PC user…
it took me about 5 months to learn my mac, but i love it now…
